So it turns out that June turned out to be a lot busier than I first anticipated. I didn’t get around to reading everything from my June TBR but I am happy with the books I did read. There weren’t any that I didn’t like and I’m going into July a lot more open minded! Here’s how my June went!

My Top Reads
There weren’t really any books I read this month that I didn’t like! Pride and Prejudice was probably my favourite and it has definitely earned its spot on my list of absolute favourite novels. I’ve been eyeing up the Peguin Classics version already! A special shout out has to go to both Mockingbird and George. Two novels which deal with emotional subject areas in a way in which middle grade children could understand and learn to accept the different people around them. Both of these struck me in a different way and have left their own mark on me. I’d recommend anyone to check them out!
Looking Ahead…
I have 13 more work days left before I get 6 weeks off! To say that I am excited would be an understatement! I’m looking forward to taking part in my first Instagram monthly photo challenge and I’m also hoping to start bullet journaling as I have been eyeing up posts on Instagram and Pinterest for a long time and have finally bought my own journal! My July TBR will be up tomorrow!
How was your month? Did you read any of the same books as me? Do you have any recommendations for the summer?

Great reading month!! I haven’t read any of these, but I’m glad nearly all of them were 4 or 5 stars for you 🙂 Also yay for your upcoming holidays!!

I’ve had In The Woods for forever & still haven’t read it. I gotta get on that one of these days. I’ve heard nothing but good things.

I had it on my Kindle for months before I read it but I’m really glad that I did!

Hi Kelly – not sure how you feel about CanLit but I would recommend both The Medicine Walk and Indian Horse by Richard Wagamese which were powerful stories written beautifully in a quite, fluid way. They are fairly quick reads but keep you thinking long after you close the book!
