Those of you who follow me over on Twitter will know that I am adoring fan of the weekly #SundayYA Twitter chat hosted by my lovely friend Rachel (@_sectumsemprah) who also blogs at 100 or Less. At Christmas, Rachel hosted a readathon which absolutely cemented my friendship with some ladies I now consider to be some of my closest friends. Without a doubt I am excited to be taking part in #SundayYAthon at Easter!
Running from Thursday 13 – Monday 17th April this is a laid back readathon where the only challenge is to read as many books as you can! If you want to sign up, click here! Rachel has also set up a Twitter DM group so we can support each other and make new bookish friends so if you decide to join you will also be invited to that! It’s never too late to join us! 🙂
My #SundayYAthon TBR!
I’ve mentioned it maybe once or twice on the blog now but I’m going to New York this Saturday which will mean two things: PLENTY of reading time for the #readathon whilst I fly but then maybe not so much time whilst I get there. So I need to be realistic and I’m going to set my goal as 4 books! I will also be finishing Strange the Dreamer by Laini Taylor (so maybe that’s 5, who knows?). Luggage restraints (and my dire need to shop) means that I am taking only my Kindle away with me so this is the perfect chance to get some eARCs read! I will be reading one physical book too though!
The Girl of Ink and Stars by the lovely Kiran Millwood Hargrave is the only physical book on my TBR for this readathon. It’s quite short so the plan is to finish this before I set off on Saturday. Then it will be over to my Kindle and my copy of Tree Magic by the lovely Harriet Springbett. I’ve been telling Harriet I would read this for way too long now so this readathon is the perfect time as I first tweeted Harriet during a #SundayYA chat about her book!
I have soo many eARCs to pick from but the two I’m definitely going to be reading for this are Queens of Geek and The Upside of Unrequited. I’ve been looking forward to both of these for some time now! If by some miracle I finish all of these books then I’ll jump into some other eARCs!
I will be updating my progress with this readathon on Twitter so please feel free to hop on over and follow me there! Link below or on side of this page!
Do you enjoy taking part in readathons?
