Hi everyone! Can you believe it is already time for a new TBR? I certainly can’t! I’ve been very absent from my blog throughout July but plan on rectifying that with lots of new content coming up. I’ll also be telling you all about my time at YALC (which was HEAVENLY) so keep an eye out over the next few days.
August is turning into a very interesting reading month as there are so many reading challenges I want to get involved with! That being said my main focus really does have to be reducing my ARC pile (physically and on NG). SO I’ve made the decision that every other book will have to be an ARC to keep my reading balanced. Some of them will be for upcoming titles but quite a lot will be from my backlog (which is extensive!).
I haven’t decided exactly which books I’ll be tackling this month but here are some ARCs that I’m certainly considering at the moment! If I could get 6 ARCs read this month I’d be pretty happy with that.
Those 8 are just books I’ve been thinking about reading more recently, I have SO many books I need to catch up on, especially from NetGalley, so this could end up looking VERY different!
As well as trying to read through some ARCs, I also have SO many books that I’ve acquired recently/over the last few months that I really want to read and so I’ll also hopefully read 6 of those. Here are some ideas of what you may see me reading this month from that pile!
The list of potential reads could go on all day but most of these are right towards the top of my reading pile now so I’m hoping to get quite a few of them read this month, especially now I am free to read forever! (Well, a month).
This is a bit of an open TBR but at least it has the options I first considered for any moments I’m not sure what to read next.
My overall aim for August is to read 12 books – enough to push me so I don’t get lazy and spend the whole month watching TV!

I wish you all the best conquering your ARCs! I should be doing the same thing… perhaps I’ll make an effort this month? I’m definitely letting my ARCs crush me right now. Good luck, Kelly!
My favorite reads in July were the final book in Joe Abercrombie’s The Shattered Sea trilogy Half a War and The Crystal Ribbon. I am greatly looking forward to reading Janesville: An American Story and I, Robot this month!

I’ve not read any of those but I’m glad you enjoyed them! ARC crushing is not going well at the moment because I started a trilogy but I’m onto the final book so it shall begin soon! 🙂

Yay! I’m glad you are almost there. I love reading series, but it totally distracts me from most other things.

I am enjoying seeing many of the book bloggers I follow, join ArcAugust! it’s my 1st time & I am in the same boat as you in regards to the stack of ARCS both physical & on Netgalley…and on Edelweisss smh *for shame* I’ve dug a hole so deep it’s going to be interesting trying to get out lol. You have so many good potential reads on your TBR, Arsonist caught my eye a while back. Happy reading & I hope you meet all your goals 🙂

Ahhh I’m so excited for There’s Someone Inside Your House! I hope you love it!! I really enjoyed Daughter of Smoke and Bone, so hope you like that one too 😊 I’m trying to wait until Bloomsbury send me a copy of Because You Love to Hate Me that I asked for but it’s not being released here until September so I’m considering buying the ebook because I’m super impatient 😂

Ha, I hope Bloomsbury will send you a copy very soon then! I’m really looking forward to reading There’s Someone Inside Your House but can’t decide whether to leave it for an October read! I just finished inhaling Daughter of Smoke and Bone and really, really loved it! How does Laini Taylor have those ideas in her head?!

Love this TBR! I can’t wait to get my hands on the new Stephanie Perkins title (sadly my request wasn’t approved). And Wonder Woman. Because anything Leigh Bardugo is a mustread. 😉 I hope you will enjoy these!

The cover of Juniper Lemon’s Happiness Index looks a LOT like the cover of The Problem With Forever by Jennifer Armentrout. One of the only differences is that the colors on Jennifer’s go from blue to red from top to bottom and Julie’s does the opposite.

I’ve not heard of the other book. I really like our UK cover for Juniper though!

I scrolled through your list before reading the top bit. As I was scrolling I thought ‘I bet she went to YALC’ 🤣
We have loads of books in common here (a lot of it because of YALC). I’m looking forward to hearing your thoughts!
