October Bullet Journal Reflection and November Setup!

Hi everyone! I’m back today with another bullet journal post and it’s my monthly look back at how October was in my journal and how I’ve set myself up for November.

October was a really awful month for me personally and so there are some blanks throughout the spreads. One of the things I like most about my journal is that it is so flexible and so if you don’t feel able to write in it then it really isn’t the end of the world. And actually, when I look back at the end of the year that will be there as a reminder too.

My staple monthly spreads all stayed the same this month, I’m satisfied with how everything works and so rather than make big changes for the sake of it I’m just making small changes each month with my trackers. I’m also getting a bit more ambitious with drawing things in my journal as you’ll see a bit later on. Here are my completed main spreads, click to enlarge.

I was creative with my monthly page for October and I’m still really pleased with how it turned out as I’ve never drawn anything like it before. My staple monthly page was more Halloween themed but, as you can see, I did leave some blanks there.

My habit tracker and happy memories pages stayed the same for October. I did change up my habit tracker a bit by using a pattern to fill it out rather than the rainbow colours and I liked how it turned out. I found my happy memories page really important this month as it was a real struggle so having somewhere to focus on something positive from each day made a small but important difference.

My mood tracker was a reflection of the Autumn weather for October and I really love how it turned out in the end. The raindrops are so colourful and I like to look back at these pages and reflect how my moods have been in different months. My bookish stats page stayed the same but I read a LOT of books and nearly ran out of shelf!

My weekly spreads have been kept very much the same and I am still loving using them. They are exactly what I need and I can’t see me really changing them much very soon (although I have made a small adjustment in my current weekly). It does everything I need from tracking my blog posts, to dos, reading and a highlight of the week. I also enjoy being a bit creative and picking a doodle for each week too which is helping channel some creativity I didn’t know I had!

I’m really, really glad to see the back of October and decided to freshen up some spreads and be a bit more ambitious this month. I’d love to know what you think!

It took me a while to decide what to draw for my monthly page but I have a real thing about feathers and thought I would try my hand at something different and this was what I concocted. I’m really proud of it and definitely want to try more doodles like this in future. Hello November…

My monthly spread is the same but I decided to jazz up my writing a little bit and I’m pleased with how it turned out. I also used some washi tape for the arrows on my box and think it adds a really nice effect.

I also jazzed up the handwriting on my habit tracker and added some cute autmnal leaves. I’m going to stick with doing a pattern for this month too because I really liked how it looked last month. I’ve decided to change up my gratitude-type page this month and rather than have to pick one thing each day I’m just going to post things as and when I am grateful for them and hopefully try out some doodles and lettering too. I’m interested to see how it will turn out. I used the same washi tape for the arrows – I’m a bit obsessed!

Two bookish spreads this month and that is my usual bookish stats which I just decided to call ‘Books’. I then added a ‘Book Post’ page to the front of the month to help me keep track of any and all bookish post that I receive. I’m trialling this spread with the potential for it to become a monthly staple. I’ve kept it simple to see how much use I actually make of it to begin with.

Time for my mood tracker and I am SO proud of this, you have literally no idea. I keep looking at it because I can’t believe I drew it. I love dream catchers and when the idea came to me I just mocked something up quickly in pencil and ended up loving it and it became a thing. I’m enjoying shading this in each day and I’m really excited to see how it will turn out!

I would love to hear what you think. I am also planning more bullet journal posts so if there is something specific you would like to see me share or blog about, please do let me know!

Do you keep a bullet journal? Or are you thinking of starting one?

What spreads do you love using the most? I’d love to see them, leave a link in the comments and I’ll check it out!

  3. Love your bullet journal spreads! I’ve been bullet journaling for awhile but am not very artistic so mine is pretty simplistic. I wish I could make mine as gorgeous as yours! Totally loving the dreamcatcher mood tracker. So pretty!
