Hi everyone! It’s Sunday and time for a #SixforSunday post! This is a weekly meme hosted by my lovely friend Steph @ A Little But A Lot. Don’t forget to check out her blog for today’s post too!
Today’s prompt is to talk about 6 books we didn’t enjoy reading in 2017! I very rarely talk about books I didn’t like (outside of a review) so this is actually quite therapeutic. Quick disclaimer: just because I didn’t enjoy these books, it doesn’t mean you won’t! 🙂
Here is a very brief reason as to why these books disappointed me.
Undercover Princess: A pretty cover but the characters were too flat for me and the story on the whole just didn’t excite me.
There’s Someone Inside Your House: Wow this was disappointing. Too much romance, not enough ‘horror’ and the most disappointing ‘big’ reveal.
Who Runs the World?: This book INFURIATED me. Can’t keep this briefer than pointing you in the direction of my review.
Prisoner of Ice and Snow: This book was okay it just wasn’t for me. I needed more layers and more in depth characters.
The Square Root of Summer: Too much science for my wee brain which confused me. I also didn’t connect with the characters.
Slasher Girls and Monster Boys: Aside from two or three stories, there really wasn’t much that I liked about this anthology. I was so disappointed!
I’d love to hear if you’ve read any of these and what you thought.
What books did you read that disappointed you in 2017?

The only one I’ve read is Undercover Princess, I didn’t hate it but it just took so long to get going and then it felt like everything was over in a couple of pages!
