E-book or Physical book?

Both! Like I probably do own and read more physical books but I am also in love with my Kindle and couldn’t be without it. As long as I am reading somehow I really don’t mind the format!

Paperback or Hardback?

Paperback, definitely! I love how pretty hardbacks can be but they are not as easy to cosy up with under a blanket and read.

Online or In-Store book shopping?

My preference is definitely in-store because I just love the atmosphere of a book shop but sometimes online is definitely more convenient.

Trilogies or Series?

Both? I love, love, love a trilogy but often find myself wishing there could be more from the series. That being said, I’ve not read many series that are longer than three books!

Heroes or Villains?

I do love me a villain because they add so many dynamics to a story but who can resist the pull of a good old fashioned hero? (Especially those lady heroes!)

A book you want everyone to read?

Wing Jones by Katherine Webber (if you’ve read my blog before you will know this answer)

Recommend an underrated book?

Not necessarily underrated but a book I recently LOVED and has been newly released in the UK is The Extinction Trials by S.M. Wilson – definitely check it out!

The last book you finished?

Love, Hate and Other Filters by Samira Ahmed. I finished this literally a few hours ago and I really enjoyed it.

The last book you bought?

  

I bought both of these during a trip to London last month – I haven’t bought a single book in January (yet) although I’ve been lucky to receive some!

Weirdest thing you’ve used as a bookmark?

Boring answer but I tend to just use a bookmark or a receipt/bit of paper.

Used books: yes or no?

Absolutely yes! I love having a dig around charity bookshops and have found some real bargains there. Although I am fussy with the appearance of the books so do look for them to be in good condition.

Top three favourite genres?

All within YA (because it’s me!): Fantasy, Contemporary and Dystopian.

Borrow or Buy?

I tend to buy my books but only because I am lucky enough to be able to. I do occasionally borrow books from the library though.

Characters or Plot?

I’m going out on a limb and picking characters for this. If I can’t connect with the characters then it really doesn’t matter what happens in the story, I probably won’t get on with it!

Long or Short books?

I think this completely depends on the book and also on my mood. I hate when a book ends to quickly but at the same time I often wish my favourite books were endless.

Long or Short chapters?

Short chapters, always!

Name the first three books you think of…

Wing Jones by Katherine Webber, A Darker Shade of Magic by V. E. Schwab and A Quiet Kind of Thunder by Sara Barnard.

Books that made you laugh or cry?

  

Countless by Karen Gregory made me absolutely bawl my eyes out, even just thinking about it now makes me want to cry. Editing Emma by Chloe Seager, on the other hand, had me cackling with laughter and is a brilliant read!

Our world or fictional worlds?

I am a huge lover of fantasy novels so I guess fictional worlds is my answer here!

Audiobooks: yes or no?

Yes! I really like listening to books on audio although I don’t do it enough. I particularly like listening to memoirs on audio.

Do you ever judge a book by its cover?

All the time – woops! Sometimes this means I find hidden treasures that I’ve bought purely based on their cover. Other times it means I put a book off because of how it looks. So this is an up and a down!

Book to Movie or Book to TV adaptations?

Definitely book to movie if it’s going to be done.

A movie or TV show you preferred to its book?

Hm, this was quite a tricky one for me. I’m going with The Maze Runner. I didn’t particularly enjoy the book and thought the movie was much better (although, I’ve not read or seen any of the other books/movies!)

Series or Standalones?

A mix of both? I absolutely love to binge on a series but I’ve also read some really excellent standalone novels over the last year which has me changing my mind.
