February Bullet Journal Set Up!

Header.png

Hi everyone, today I’m back without another bullet journal post! My last post with my 2018 set up was a really popular one and I’ve had requests for more bullet journal related content so I’ll definitely try and do that. I did mention that my next post would be about blogging and books but when I looked at it, I realised it made more sense for me to show you my February set up first so I’ve flipped the schedule around!

Now usually when I do a monthly set up post I show you my completed January spreads but it completely slipped my mind to take photos so I’m just going to share my new February set up with you instead! For those who have seen these posts before, I have made a few changes! For those who haven’t, I only have a few staple pages that I have every single month and that’s what this post will show you. As always, click the images to enlarge them.

Can you believe February is finally here? January felt like such a long month! I kept my monthly page simple this month with some calligraphy and a few heart doodles. I also chose a red themed washi tape for my edging. For those who are wondering why I’ve done that, it’s so that I can easily flip to the start of each new month in my journal and the washi tape makes the perfect marker, plus it looks pretty!

My monthly overview (or dashboard as I like to call it) is the same as ever and remains one of my most important/used pages. Some simple calligraphy at the top of the left hand page and then my easy to view monthly calendar. I split this into ‘Personal’ and ‘Work’ so I can get an overview of both at once. I merge the dates from my Future Log and Work Calendex pages first of all and also add events throughout the month. The right hand page is where I jot down things to be done for work in that month, blog posts I need to write/post, books I read and any important to do’s. I also like my little ‘next month’ box which is handy for tasks I need to carry over or reminders. You’ll notice that I’ve started to use more washi tape in my journal this year (I realised I owned LOADS but wasn’t using it much) and I’m also adding some little stickers here or there.

Next up are my February Habit tracker and Happy Memories page. I’ve changed up my habit tracker for the first time EVER this month. It has meant two things: 1. it was much quicker to set up and 2. I’ve reduced the number of things I’m tracking. I really don’t know that I’ve picked the right things to track here and so this will likely change a bit next month, but I wanted to try something new for a change! My Happy Memories page is essentially my gratitude log. I flip between designs for this page and this month I’ve gone for a simple list. With a job that can be extremely stressful, I always find filling in this page to be good for my brain and well being. Making myself find at least one good thing from each day can really put a day in perspective for me.

Next up are my final two must-have monthly pages. My mood tracker and my book stat pages. This month I chose a geometric heart as the source of my mood tracking. I like how it has turned out and it will be lovely to look back on the month and see how it turns out once all the sections are coloured in. My bookish stats page is really just a physical way of me keeping track of all the books I read in a month, how many and how many pages. I add each one to the shelf as I finish it and make a note of the rating too so I can then go back to my collections and add them to my bigger shelves (more on that next week!). I added some washi tape this time around and think it looks great!

If you followed my blog last year, you may have seen that I designed my own weekly ‘dashboard’ and started to use that rather than also having daily pages. For the first whole week of February I’ve changed up how that looks quite a bit and I am SO pleased with it. I almost don’t want to write on it! I’ve done some simple calligraphy based headers rather than banners and I like how minimalist that look gives. I have kept my usual mini calendar and moved my blog schedule over to the left hand page. I’ve then included a notes section where I can jot down things I need to do or anything I fancy. The right hand page has taken quite a bit change! As I’ve changed my tracker this month, I decided to track me sleep and steps on a weekly basis and so I’ve included these little graphs at the bottom. I’ve also added a ‘Next Week’ box which I think will be really useful for merging tasks into a new weekly. In the tiny bits of space I had left, I once again added a strip of washi tape and a little sticker that reads ‘You Do You’.

And that’s me for February! I’m interested to see how my new habit tracker will work out and also how my mood tracker will look at the end of the month. Happy February everyone!

    • When I first started mine I was constantly changing things and experimenting, that’s my favourite thing about the bullet journal. Just give it a go and don’t be afraid to abandon a spread if it doesn’t work or to add new ones in wherever. I love how unique all our journals are! ❤️

  6. I just started bullet journaling this year. Your spreads are very pretty…Mine are not. But, I’m trying to remember that it doesn’t have to be perfect to function for me. Thanks for sharing. I always love seeing bujo ideas, even if I myself can not execute them as well.
