Hi everyone! It’s Sunday and time for a #SixforSunday post! This is a weekly meme hosted by my lovely friend Steph @ A Little But A Lot. Don’t forget to check out her blog for today’s post too!
Today’s prompt is to share 6 books that have been on our TBR forever! For this I’m going to refer to my Goodreads shelf so in theory these may not be the actual oldest books on my TBR but the ones that have been on my GR tbr for ages! For once these are not all YA books too!
The Girl with the Dragon Tattoo | Uprooted | Far From You | The Art of Being Normal | The Kite Runner | All the Bright Places
Confession time: I own a copy of every single one of these books and have done for at least 2 years now… woops!!
Which books have been on your TBR for the longest?
Have you read any of these books? Pitch one to me!
Follow me on Twitter, Instagram, Bloglovin’ or Goodreads. Comments are always warmly welcome.

I definitely think The Kite Runner, All the Bright Places, and Uprooted (based on the replies) should be on TBR Priority!
Hmm trying to think of what’s been on mine forever. The Night Circus has been on mine since 2013. Plus Lolita and about a dozen other “classics”. Heh.

Uprooted is excellent! I think you’ll really enjoy it. It’s fantasy and magic and is amazing right from the first chapter.

ATBP is amazing, but you definitely need to be in the mood for it. It’s dark xx

Oh Uprooted is amazing. I was completely sucked into that world.

Uprooted has been in my home unread since 2016, I’m pretty sure. I have heard raves, but I am just never in the mood for it. I loved All the Bright Places. It’s quite tragic, but beautiful too. I tear up a little just seeing the cover.

Oh dear, sounds like the type of book I’ll love then! I do love a book that gives me an emotional response. Glad I’m not the only one still with Uprooted on my TBR…

Uprooted has also been on my tbr for well over a year now and I really can’t deal with it because even my mom has read it in the mean time 😂😂

Haha oh dear! Did she enjoy it?

Yeah my mom said the book has really great writing and the setting is amazing but that it’s slightly repetitive but she still gave it 4/5 stars 😂🤗

The Kite Runner and A Thousand Splendid Suns (same author) are so good. 100% worth the read.

I only ever hear brilliant things about them and both are on my TBR! My day will come soon…

I’m actually not sure which books have been on my TBR longest, especially as I didn’t really track my books before I had my blog. I know I’ve owned the Unexpected Everything for at least 2 and a bit years, so it could be that! I’m pretty ruthless and unhaul things I lose interest in.

You’re a better person than I am! I hoard books so badly!

It’s mainly a ploy so I have room to put shiny new ones 😉🤣

I have had The Kite Runner for years as I know I should have read it – but I have never got round to it – never feels like the right time.

I agree. I think I’m intimidated because it’s so far out of my usual comfort zone but I also need to push those boundaries occasionally.
