For some unknown reason I failed to post a weekly update last Sunday! So this is a combination of the last two weeks.
Books of the Week
I just finished reading my advanced copy of All is Not Forgotten by Wendy Walker. This was recommended to me by a lovely publisher but unfortunately it just wasn’t the book for me. I did make it to the end but I just did not get on with the narrator of the book and it kind of ruined the experience for me. It is undoubtedly an interesting and well researched novel and you can read more of my thoughts here. I’ve owned a paperback copy of Wild by Cheryl Strayed for months now but I just could never bring myself to pick it up. I decided a few days ago to try it on audio instead and I think this will be an Audible credit well spent! I actually prefer to listen to memoirs as I think it is a more personal experience, although Cheryl does not narrate herself. I’m enjoying so far so we’ll see how it goes!
Films of the Week
In the past two weeks I’ve watched two movies. One of which was new to me and one which was a rewatch. I finally got around to watching the wonderful Me Before You – I both laughed and cried like a baby. I thought Emilia Clarke was a fantastic choice as the adorable Lou and she was really great. I thought it was a good adaptation of the book. Secondly I rewatched Allegiant, the third movie instalment of the Divergent series. I still don’t understand why they changed the ending or why they are making another movie when there is no book to adapt it from but maybe it will give the series the ending we all really wanted (which is anything other than how it ended!)
Films watched in 2016: 42/100
TV of the Week
So my week consisted of the following TV shows:
More of the usual shows this week but with the wonderful added extra that is SUITS! My brother got me into this show last summer and I am so glad it has come back just in time for my summer holidays. I loved the season premier, especially the scenes with high Harvey and Jessica – they had me in stitches! I am so interested to see where they take this series with Mike in his jam and especially with how that first episode ended. I’ve also almost finished Orange is the New Black so I’ll be looking for a new show to binge over the summer. Please leave some suggestions below!!

Finally…
The most exciting thing happening in my life right now is that I only have 3 days left in work before we break up for the summer. I have so many nice plans for these holidays as well as plenty of time for me (and my books)! I’ve started to make a bullet journal and I’m really excited to maybe share some of the pages I’ve designed so far.
Hope you have a great week everyone!

I really need to see Me Before You… I’ve been so worried that it will ruin the book for me though. You give me hope for it 😊
