Thanks to the lovely Sam who hosts this meme at Taking On A World of Words. This is a weekly meme where I answer the three W’s of reading: What are you currently reading? What have you just finished reading? What will you read next?
What are you currently reading?
I picked up my completely gorgeous copy of Wing Jones by Katherine Webber yesterday and I’m only 80 pages in but completely loving it. I already love Wing as a character and this book is already tackling issues such as racism, bullying and grief. I have extremely high hopes for this one.
I completely forgot to mention last week that I am listening to the audio book of Hard Choices by Hillary Clinton. I absolutely adore Hillary Clinton and think she is an incredible role model. I have a physical copy of this book but I’m enjoying listening to the audio (although it’s VERY long!). It’s super interesting!
What did you recently finish reading?
I particularly enjoyed The One Memory of Flora Banks by Emily Barr. You can find my full review here and if you fancy it then it is released tomorrow! I also very much enjoyed The Princess Saves Herself in this One by Amanda Lovelace. I read it in about 20 minutes and thought it was an interesting and thought evoking collection of short poems. I also read Burned and Broken by Mark Hardie which I kindly received from the publisher in preparation for a blog tour in a few weeks time.
What do you think you’ll read next?
What have you been reading this week?
Do you have any thoughts on the books I’ve mentioned?
Follow me on Twitter, Instagram, Bloglovin’ or Goodreads. Comments are always warmly welcome.

Ooooo I’m very interested in seeing what you think about Three Dark Crowns! It seems like people either love it or hate it. I will look forward to your review 🙂

Does Hilary narrate her book?
I’m hearing so many good things about Flora Banks, I can’t wait to pick up a copy 😍
Happy WWW! I hope you have a wonderful week

She shares the narration with another narrator, but she does some parts 🙂 Flora Banks is FAB!!

I love it when celebs narrate for some reason. It feels more like a con station that way. I got approved for Flora Banks book!!! 👍

Glad you’re enjoying Clinton’s memoir. Does she read the audiobook? That would be incredible. Happy reading and thanks for participating in WWW Wednesday!

It really is! I feel like I’m learning a lot as I listen to it. I’m already a big Hillary admirer so it’s interesting to get her perspective on things.

Does Hilary Clinton do the reading for the audiobook you’re listening to?
I’d really like to read The Princess Saves Herself in this One, glad you enjoyed it!

She narrates some of it alongside another narrator. The whole thing is 26 hours long so it’s a pretty long task to record it I should imagine!

I really want to read Three Dark Crowns as well , sounds so interesting! 🙂

The Princess Saves Herself In This One Is one of my favorites ever!! I mean, it was beautifully written and the words will surely get through you. And I really loved it though there were times that it hurt and broke my heart.
The One Memory of Flora Banks is also on my TBR and I’m glad you enjoyed it!
Thanks for visiting my WWW earlier! 🙂

I loved the poetry, I thought it was so emotional and thought-provoking. I particularly loved the ‘You’ section at the end. Very strong!

I’ve been wanting to read the Princess saves herself in this one for a while now, I really should just get it lol.
Cant wait to see your thoughts on Three Dark Crowns!

Three Dark Crowns has been on my tbr list for ages! Hopefully I’ll get to it some time this year, but first I’ve got a lot of books to read before I buy any more! I hope you’ll enjoy it 🙂

The worst thing about TDC is that I have two copies of it and still haven’t read it. I’m trying really hard not to buy any more books until my physical TBR is massively reduced. I pre-ordered my most highly anticipated releases so that I could still get bookmail but I’m not buying any others (for a while…!)

That’s a good plan, I should do that. I don’t think my bookshelf would forgive me if I had more than one copy of a book! Poor thing is barely holding together as it is!

It only have more than one copy because I pre-ordered a paperback and then got the HB in a subscription box and they’re both too pretty to give one away!

That’s a perfect reason for holding onto both! 🙂

Wing Jones sounds delightful…and I, too, love Hillary Clinton…and I’m sad that she is not being sworn in on 1/20. I should probably not say any more.
Enjoy your reading, and thanks for visiting my blog.

All excellent choices – and I haven’t read any! Yikes – will have more to add to my TBR list.

I’ll just take this opportunity to rave about Flora Banks again! She’s set the bar very high, very early on in the year 🙂 I hope I come across some other books in the rest of 2017 to equal how good it was.

I also feel that the bar has been set high, especially as my other first read of the year was A Quiet Kind of Thunder which is also outstanding!

In that case, I’m off to look further into A Quiet Kind of Thunder on Goodreads right now… 🙂
