FairyLoot: April 2018 Unboxing!

Fairyloot.png

Hi everyone! Today I’m here to share with you an unboxing of the April Fairyloot box. I love these boxes because YA Fantasy is one of my favourite genres and these boxes are also always rammed full of goodies. Unfortunately I couldn’t share my May unboxing with you as my box was damaged and I only really managed to save the book, although that was my favourite thing about the box and the people at FairyLoot were very helpful!

BEWARE: SPOILERS AHEAD!

The theme for April’s box was Whimsical Journeys and I had no idea what the book would be. I usually find that I can either easily guess the book or I’m the complete flipside and have NO idea. Well it’s safe to say that I was clueless when I went into this box!

The first thing I picked out of the box was this stunning pin from the new Ace of Shades by Amanda Foody. As I write this I’m about 150 pages from the end and loving this book a LOT. I adore the cover so having a pin is pretty cool.

So I’ve never actually read a Percy Jackson book (sorry, I know!) but this pin is so gorgeous. I love the detail on it! This was designed exclusively by Taratjah.

This gorgeous, dark candle was next out of the box. The candle is based on the novel of this month’s box and was designed by Flick The Wick with background art from the talented Taratjah. I love how this smells!

This GORGEOUS Narnia reusable coffee cup is probably my favourite item from this month’s box. The design is so intricate and eye catching and I love that this helps encourage us all to be more eco-friendly. I’ll definitely be making good use of this and checking out more of the products from Ink and Wonder soon.

Another fandom I’m not familiar with but I AM a fan of all things stationary and this notepad is so cute. I love the quote “Let’s Carpe the Hell out of this Diem”, it’s certain to inspire me to check off those to-do lists. This is a great design from Little Inkling Designs.

I squealed a bit when I saw this exclusive luggage tag designed by Lovely Owls Books. Let’s be real, we all wish we had Newt Scamander’s magical case full of fantastic beasts and at least now I can pretend I do!

I am a very firm fan of totebags and use them daily. I ADORE this stunning design by Stella’s Bookish Art. I love the quote, the colours, everything about it is just mesmerising.

I am proudly displaying this print on my shelves and think it is just perfect! It has so many fandoms on there that I already love as well as a few that I am yet to discover. I’m going to be checking out more from Fictiontea Designs soon!

Not only did I not guess April’s book but it was also one that I had not heard of. As well as the book, we also got a print, note from the author and a signed bookplate. Beyond A Darkened Shore by Jessica Leake has a gorgeous cover and sounds really interesting so I’m sure I’ll read it someday!

Which of these bookish items do you wish you could get your hands on?

Have you read Beyond A Darkened Shore? What did you think? Is it on your TBR?
