Hi everyone! Today I’m here to share with you my stop on the Floored blog tour! If you’re a UK reader then you most definitely will have heard of this fantastic new novel which has been collaboratively written by 7 of the best UKYA authors. I was lucky enough to read this book before publication and it is FANTASTIC!
I’ve collaborated with 6 other bloggers for the tour, so be sure to check out all their posts by going to their blogs (info at bottom of this post!). For my post today I was given a line to inspire me and I’ve created some character aesthetics. The question is: who is who?
“So here we have them:”
Dawson, Sasha, Kaitlyn, Joe, Hugo and Velvet are complex, layered characters who each captured me in different ways. I guess you’ll have to read the book to find out which aesthetic belongs to which character! Enjoy!
Floored
Author: Sara Barnard, Holly Bourne, Tanya Byrne, Non Pratt, Melinda Salisbury, Lisa Williamson & Eleanor Wood
Genre: YA, Contemporary
Publisher: Macmillan Children’s Books
Publication Date: July 12th 2018
Format: Paperback (385 pages)

Synopsis:
When they got in the lift, they were strangers (though didn’t that guy used to be on TV?): Sasha, who is desperately trying to deliver a parcel; Hugo, who knows he’s the best-looking guy in the lift and is eyeing up Velvet, who knows what that look means when you hear her name and it doesn’t match the way she looks, or the way she talks; Dawson, who was on TV, but isn’t as good-looking as he was a few years ago and is desperately hoping no one recognizes him; Kaitlyn, who’s losing her sight but won’t admit it, and who used to have a poster of Dawson on her bedroom wall, and Joe, who shouldn’t be here at all, but who wants to be here the most.
And one more person, who will bring them together again on the same day every year.
A huge thanks to Bea from Macmillan for inviting me to take part in this tour and for kindly sending me an early copy of Floored. My full review will be up soon!
