Six for Sunday | Dream Author Panels

Hi everyone! It’s Sunday and time for a #SixforSunday post! This is a weekly meme hosted by my lovely friend Steph @ A Little But A Lot. Don’t forget to check out her blog for today’s post too!

Today’s theme is to share our dream author panels! This is such a great prompt and as per usual I’ve put my own little spin on it. I’ve been very lucky to see almost all of my favourite authors in various panel events or signings in the last couple of years but there are definitely some combinations I would love to see.

I’ve decided to pick three panels one Contemporary and one Fantasy (both YA) alongside a MG panel too. Each of these has 6 authors because I’m greedy and would love it to be a proper roundtable event!

Contemporary YA: Katherine Webber, Sara Barnard, Alice Oseman, Laura Steven, Eve Ainsworth and Holly Bourne.

Fantasy YA: Melinda Salisbury, Alwyn Hamilton, Leigh Bardugo, Victoria Schwab, Laini Taylor and Alice Broadway.

Middle Grade: Kiran Millwood Hargrave, Maz Evans, Helena Duggan, Abi Elphinstone, Katie/Kevin Tsang and Catherine Doyle.

Which authors would you have on your dream panel?

Would you choose any of the same authors as me?

  1. Ooh your YA Fantasy panel is my actual dream! Victoria Schwab, Laini Taylor, and Leigh Bardugo all in one panel would be incredible! I think I might have seen Laini and V together at YALC 2017 (or 2016) but adding Leigh into the mix would be the cherry on the cake. (I think I’d probably pass out from excitement to be honest.) Great post Kelly!

  2. Ooh I would def want to see the Contemporary and MG panels, I really like lots of those authors 😊
My dream panel would probably be about MG mystery, and would feature Robin Stevens, Helen Moss and Katherine Woodfine.
