Top Ten Tuesday is a weekly meme created by The Broke and the Bookish which has now found a lovely new home at That Artsy Reader Girl. The prompt this week is to share 10 authors who were new to us in 2022. I actually read lots of books from favourite authors last year so I’ve split this list into 2: 5 new-to-me authors I read last year and 5 new-to-me-authors whose books I hope to read this year.
New-to-Me Authors Read in 2022

All of these are authors whose other novels I am definitely interested in reading! Highly recommend this specific titles too.
The Appeal | And The Stars Were Burning Brightly | The Gilded Ones | Babel | Tomorrow and Tomorrow and Tomorrow
New-to-Me Authors on my TBR

These 5 authors have written books I have on my TBR – some for not so long but others have been on there for years so in 2023 I hope to give them a go!
A Deadly Education | The Atlas Six | The Seven Husbands of Evelyn Hugo | How To Kill Your Family | Kingdom of the Wicked
Have you read any of these? Which author from my TBR should I try first? I’d love to hear from you in the comments!

Follow me on Twitter, Instagram, Storygraph or Goodreads. Comments are always warmly welcome.
I’ve read The Seven Husbands of Evelyn Hugo by Taylor Jenkins Reid and ended up having an unpopular opinion. I liked it, I thought it was an ok read but I thought it was way to overhyped and it ended up being kind of a disappointment to me but like I said I have an unpopular opinion because everyone loves it.
The other book I’ve read is Kingdom of the Wicked by Kerri Maniscalco. I’ve read everything she has written and I’ve loved them all so I definitely recommend her books.

Good to hear about Kingdom of the Wicked, I’ll bump it up my TBR!
I think the hype is part of the reason I’ve left TJR on my TBR – I sometimes prefer to read a book when it isn’t in the middle of being hyped!

I’ve read another TJR book that I really enjoyed. It was One True Loves. It’s been a while since I read it but I remember loving that one.

Deadly Education and Kingdom of the Wicked are both on my TBR.
I adored Tomorrow x3 and Babel so much. Evelyn Hugo is also a great read. I’m curious to see what you make of How to Kill Your Family.
