May was a super busy month as far as work was concerned but I managed to read almost everything off my May TBR with the exception of Wild. I just can’t bring myself to pick up that book for some reason. I’m considering getting the audio version instead to see if that will help. I also added in a few that weren’t on my original TBR. May has been a great, bookish month – check it out below!

My Top Reads
May was a great month for discovering a lot of highly rated books. This is mainly because I only ever normally pick books I will be interested in and partially because some of these had been on my TBR forever and I was looking forward to them a lot.
My absolute favourite reads of this month were Cress (#3 Lunar Chronicles), A Darker Shade of Magic and The Night Stalker. I just cannot get enough of strong female characters and The Lunar Chronicles offers plenty of them. I seriously loved Lila in ADSOM and I can’t wait to hopefully learn more about her in future books. I have a bit of a hunch about what I will find out and I want to know if I’ll be right! DCI Erika Foster is also a fantastic female lead, if you’ve not read any of Robert Bryndza’s books yet, please do, they are fantastic!
I was also pleasantly surprised by how much I ended up enjoying Radio Silence and Don’t You Cry. This was my first reading experience with both authors and I am now looking forward to checking out more from Mary Kubica and Alice Oseman.
Looking Ahead…
I’m optimistic that June will lend me more reading time than usual as things in work start to quieten down. It is also my birthday month which means I will inevitably buy more books! I also decided yesterday to start an instagram account to go with my blog and Twitter. If you want to give me a follow then my account is @kellysrambles on both Twitter and Instagram. I have some great reads coming up for June, my TBR will be up in the next two days!
How was your month? Did you read any of the same books as me? Do you have any recommendations?
Feel free to follow me on Twitter or Goodreads. Comments are always warmly welcome.
It’s so good to see that you enjoyed A Darker Shade of Magic and You! I’m super excited to read both of those. And 12 is such an amazing amount of books read!
