Books of the Week
I had such a busy week that it took me until Saturday to finish off In The Woods properly. I’m glad I didn’t rush this book though as I really enjoyed reading it. I hadn’t guessed the killer by the end and was generally quite intrigued by the mystery in this book. My favourite thing was the intricate and detailed characters in the story. I absolutely adored Cassie as a character and I’ve added the second book in the series to my TBR after discovering it focuses more on her. You can check out my thoughts here. I have just started reading The Good Girl by Mary Kubica. This is my second Kubica novel and I’m enjoying it so far; although, the timeline is slightly confusing me at times. I have high hopes for this one, so we’ll see!
Films of the Week
I finally managed to get to the cinema this morning to see Alice Through the Looking Glass. I really, really enjoyed this movie and thought it was a great follow on to the first movie. I absolutely love the cast for this film: Anne Hathaway, Helena Bonham Carter, Johnny Depp, Stephen Fry and the dear Alan Rickman (to name but a few!). I saw the movie on IMAX 3D and felt totally and completely immersed in Alice’s world. A review will be up this week (it’s SO long since I wrote a film review!)
Films watched in 2016: 37/100
TV of the Week
So my week consisted of the following TV shows:
Veep is still hilarious and Game of Thrones left me hanging, once again!! On a positive note, Rizzoli and Isles was back this week with a double episode! I really, really love Maura Isles as a character and I’m so intrigued (and slightly emotional) over where this storyline is going to go. I love the characters in this show and I’m super happy for Frankie (no spoilers!)
Blogposts of the Week
Finally…
I still haven’t posted my HP Tour post (woops!) so that will be up this week, I hope! I’ve got another super busy week ahead of me but I’m hoping to get more posts up as I’ve got quite a few drafts. I feel bad when I don’t post a lot. I can’t remember the last time I managed to get a WWW up so that’s a must for this week!
In other news, I am deeply saddened by what has happened this weekend, not just in America, but across the world. So many innocent lives are being taken at the moment and I just want to send my positive thoughts and best wishes to all those people whose lives have been affected by violence this weekend. I wish for a world with love, happiness and compassion.
Hope you have a great week everyone!

Can’t wait to see what you think about The Good Girl. I read Pretty Baby by Mary Kubica and bought Don’t You Cry. She is going to be at a Ohio book festival in October and I’m excited to listen to her panel and maybe meet her!

Pretty Baby is on my tbr list. I loved Don’t You Cry so the obvious next step was to read her other works. That sounds fab!

Hi! I’m definitely a fan of Orphan Black. This season has been so much fun. Did you catch the very, very end of the last episode? *rubs hands gleefully, not wanting to give away spoilers*
