Books of the Week
It turns out that it took me longer to read Mr Mercedes than I initially anticipated. I did really enjoy it though. This was only my second King novel (I know!) and I’ve already decided I’ll stick with the trilogy. I am looking to read some of his other works too but there are so many that I don’t know where to start. Any suggestions would be great! You can check out my thoughts on Mr Mercedes here. This morning I read George by Alex Gino. This is a simply wonderful book about a transgender child. I thought the subject was dealt with sensitively and with a simplicity that created raw emotion. This isn’t a long book but it is extremely important. I will be recommending this to everyone, so if you haven’t read it, I highly recommend it! Check out my thoughts here. Full reviews for both will be up in the week. I haven’t decided what to read next, it’s between Fairest and one of my many ARCs.
Films of the Week
I didn’t watch any new movies this week but instead I watched two movies I have seen plenty of times before. I was ‘in the mood’ for both of these in the last week and they made good company whilst I was attempting to do work. I’m determined to see some of the new releases that are upcoming though. There is a lot to look forward to!
Films watched in 2016: 41/100
TV of the Week
So my week consisted of the following TV shows:
HOW GOOD WAS GAME OF THRONES?! My Gosh!! This weeks episode was Game of Thrones in all its bloody glory. I loved the episode and thought it was shot beautifully. I can’t believe that tonight is already the end of the season. I really wish the seasons were longer. This week also saw the return of my guilty pleasure, Pretty Little Liars. I started this way back in season 2 after a friend recommended it and it became an addiction pretty quickly. The Season 7 premiere was fully of suspense and I really can’t wait for our baby Hanna to be rescued! Looking forward to what this final season will bring.

Finally…
It was my birthday this week and I had a really great time celebrating with my friends and family. The end of the week was an epic failure with the political side of life. I was devastated on Friday with the result of the vote but now we just have to sit on the edge of our seats and hope things don’t get worse (although we know they will!).
In other exciting news I received my first OwlCrate this week and I absolutely loved every item inside. I was also super pleased to receive a book that I had been eyeing up and I’ve now got a beautiful hardcover of my own. I’ll be posting my unboxing later this week as I don’t want to spoil the content for anyone! I already can’t wait for July’s box! Does anyone else receive OwlCrate or recommend any other subscription boxes?
Hope you have a great week everyone!
