June was an exciting month for me and a part of that was receiving my first ever Owlcrate! I have been eyeing up subscription boxes for a while now after seeing so many beautiful unboxings on Twitter and Instagram. I decided to finally take the plunge and get my first Owlcrate! I’m also going to try some others but I’ve already renewed for July!
The theme for this month’s box was Royalty and I was so excited! The box was full of gorgeous items and a book I had been eyeing up for a while now! Check out the beautiful items below!
The first item I saw when I opened the box was a Mystery Mini Disney Figure from Funko! I loved that these were a suprise as I didn’t know who I would get. On opening mine, I was delighted to discover Princess Tiana! I am a huge Disney fan and I love Tiana and everything she stands for. How cute is she?! I actually might collect more of these as I think they’ll look pretty awesome on my shelves.
The second item I discovered was this GORGEOUS bracelet made by the super talented Jami from Rich Love Shoppe. I love everything about this bracelet. The metal is gorgeous and vintage looking and the quote comes from Cinder, the first book in The Lunar Chronicles which recently became a new favourite series. I could wear this forever! The quote reads, “Even in the future, the story begins with once upon a time”
Next up were some super cute Royal magnetic book marks designed by Craftedvan. I love that they are purple as it’s my favourite colour and I also think they look really adorable. I’ve not used them yet but I’m sure they’ll feature in an Instagram post soon!
Then I discovered this absolutely stunning piece designed by Evie Bookish. I can’t stop looking at this. I think it’s absolutely beautiful and I personally really enjoyed Red Queen so this was perfect for me. I love the colours, the textures and the quote she has chosen. I’m considering framing this as I think it’s too beautiful to just put up on the wall.
Drum roll please……! This month’s featured book is My Lady Jane by Brodi Ashton, Cynthia Hand and Jodi Meadows. You can check out the Goodreads synopsis here. This book looks like it is going to be so much fun and I’m really looking forward to it. I love that Owlcrate sends out hardcover books as I think they are much prettier (even though I mainly buy paperback). The book also came with a pretty paper crown and a handwritten note from the authors. I’m aiming to read and review this book this month!
I loved everything about this month’s box and I am glad to have renewed by subscription for the July box. The theme for the next box is Good vs. Evil and for this month we won’t know which box we are going to receive. Some of us will get Good and some will get Evil! It will be exciting to see what the differences are! I thought the clue card was really cool!
Do you subscribe to any book boxes? If so, which ones? Do you think you would get an Owlcrate? If you did get this month’s box, what was your favourite item?
