Sunday Summary 05.03.2017

Hi everyone! This last week has been a long, difficult and stressful one so I’m quite glad to see the back of it. I have had a lovely weekend though, so that makes up for the week! Hope you all had a great week!

Front Lines by Michael Grant  Silver Stars (Soldier Girl #2)

It took me longer than expected (probably due to above mentioend stressful week) but I finally finished reading Front Lines by Michael Grant. I enjoyed this book and really adored the three leading ladies. These are not my usual sort of book but the lovely people at Egmont sent them to me so I had to give them a go. I’m currently reading Silver Stars which is the second, recently released book in the series. It’s good so far!

I did GOOD this week. I didn’t buy any books (I know!!) but I did aquire a couple of new Netgalley titles and I also added a couple of books to my ever expanding Goodreads TBR.

The State of Grace  If Birds Fly Back  Windfall

Here are three titles I recently got approved for on Netgalley. I’m SO looking forward to reading all three of them, they all look so fab!

Noteworthy  See How They Lie

I added a couple of books to my TBR this week after seeing people in the bookish community talking about them quite a lot. I’m looking forward to reading both of these at some point.

Progress is being made little by little! Every little counts and all that!

I’ve not chosen a book of the week this week. I only read one book which I enjoyed but not enough to declare it as a ‘book of the week’. Hopefully there will be one to share next week!

I have lots of exciting things coming up over the next month or so! I have a few concerts I’m going to which includes a trip to Manchester. I also booked my flights to NYC yesterday for April which I am SUPER excited about. Angie Thomas is also coming to the UK for an event at London Piccadilly and I am SO excited that I can go, I bought my ticket yesterday. Laini Taylor is also doing her UK tour soon and is stopping off in Cardiff for a book signing and cake, can’t wait to go to that too. Lots of things to look forward to!

Have a wonderful week!

    • Just a vacation, I’ll be meeting a friend there and we’re planning on doing a variety of touristy things! It’s my first time visiting the US so I’m really excited! I am beyond thrilled that I can go to Angie’s event in London, already can’t wait!

  1. Well done for resisting the temptation to buy any more books this week! I was going to congratulate myself as well, and then I remembered I bought Heartless and Fantastic Beasts. Oops. Those Netgalley titles all have lovely covers! It sounds like you’ve got an exciting few weeks ahead (NYC, I’m so jealous!).

  2. Oh, I must have missed the Angie Thomas announcement! 😦 Although I’m hoping she might be doing a wider tour of the UK as I find it difficult to get to London for book events. And I really want to read all those books you got from Netgalley but I’ve told myself I can’t request anything more until I’ve read and reviewed some of the ones I’ve already got!

    • I probably should have done the same with Netgalley but couldn’t resist! I really do have to have a Netgalley binge soon and read the books on my shelf!!
I can’t usually get to London midweek for events but this one I can luckily and I’m so excited! I hope she does an event you can go to!
