April has by far been my favourite month of 2017 so far! I told myself at the beginning of the year that 2017 would be the year that I did the things that made me happy and so many of these things happened in April. I finally took the trip of my dreams to New York and also got to spend time with some of my favourite bookish people in London. It’s been a fab month personally but also in a bookish sense too!
Number of Books read: 13
Number of Pages read: 4,565
WOW! Even I’m impressed with myself for reading 13 books this month and as you’ll see from the ratings below I basically fell in love with all of them too! A quick overview of my ratings is listed below. Book covers link to the Goodreads page for each book, the titles below will lead you to my review. (Advance warning that I am behind on review writing so some of these will be coming over the next week or so! If they don’t have links, that is why!)

- Doing It: Let’s Talk About Sex by Hannah Witton ★★★★

My favourites (aside from my BotM below) are definitely The State of Grace, Queens of Geek, Countless and The Girl of Ink and Stars. I loved them all! I also managed to read everything from my April TBR and managed 6 eARCs to complete the readathon!
It has been nearly a whole month since I read The Hate U Give by the wonderful Angie Thomas and I still struggle to put into words just how I feel about this book. It is hand on heart one of the best books I have ever read and I do not say that lightly. I really urge every single person out there to read and experience this book for themselves. I was lucky enough to see Angie speak at an event in Piccadilly and she was so inspiring, I also got to meet her and she was so lovely. She is so humble about the enormous success that she has achieved with her debut novel because to Angie this is not a story, this book is her reality. It is such a powerful read. Please if you do anything this May, pick up this book. You will not regret it.

As I said at the start of this post, I have absolutely loved every minute of this last month. I’ve made some of my best memories yet and got to meet some of my favourite people in the world. Let’s hope that May can be even half as amazing!

You really have to read THUG as soon as possible! It’s phenomenal, so powerful! I loved both StD and QoG – both were fab!!

THUG is my book next in line but I am waiting my ACOWAR copy right now so I don’t think I will start a book before of that.. Otherwise the hype for ACOWAR will just ruin any other book that I will pick up.

You had a great reading month 🙂 I read SweetPea in April too and I loved it, it’s really stayed with me. I have The Hate U Give on my TBR and I really need to make sure I get to it in May because it sounds incredible and such an important book. Hope you have a great May 🙂

Ah, THUG is incredible! I’m so glad you loved it (and you’re so lucky to have met Angie!).
I think April was my fave month as well so far. My blog and social media grew so much this month, and I’m so happy with everything I achieved! Totally failed at reading though. 😂
And, ooh, I’m hopefully going to go to New York for Bookcon this summer, so I’m glad to see you enjoyed it! I’m so excited! 😄

The Handmaid’s Tale is awesome but completely terrifying. I’ve got Doing It on my Kindle and whether or not it wins the poll I’m going for it very soon!

Doing It is so great! I want all the kids in school to have access to it. Lots for adults to learn in there too! Completely agree that THT is terrifying!
