Hello my lovelies! June is here and I can’t believe how fast 2017 is going! I’ve finally got my reading mojo back and I’ve spent the last four days reading and writing and just realxing. It’s been super lovely and although I’m going back to work tomorrow I’m in good spirits. June is also my birthday month so that’s exciting!
Over the past week I’ve binged my way through the wonderful Spinster Club series written by the fabulous Holly Bourne. These books have carved their own special place in my heart and I am so in love with Evie, Lottie and Amber. Find out a bit more about these books later in this post!
SO many fantastic books were released on June 1st and I was lucky enough to get some of my own pre-orders in. I’ve already read and reviewed the wonderful When Dimple Met Rishi but I was delighted to get my hands on a physical copy. I’m really looking forward to Truth or Dare and Spellbook of the Lost and Found, I’ve heard nothing but fantastic things about both of these books!
I also received this lovely package from publishers Hideaway Fall. The book Broken Branches sounds really interesting and will be released in July. How adorable was this package?!
Woops… So I recently submitted 3 or 4 reviews on NG and for some reason thought that meant it was okay to request a couple more titles and I got accepted for these two. They both sound wonderful though so I don’t regret it in the slightest (even if my NG rating does!)
Progress is being made little by little! Every little counts and all that!

Okay so this week it’s ‘books’ of the week but right now I am so invested in the Spinster Club girls that I simply can’t pick a favourite. These books are the perfect starting point for anyone interested in feminism, but also for anyone who already considers themselves a feminist. There is so much to learn from these books about feminism, mental health, relationships, friendships and much more. Holly Bourne shies away from nothing and these books are phenomenal.
This week I finally got back in touch with my blogging and reviews, I also have some great upcoming posts too so keep an eye out!

For the second time in a fortnight the UK has been at the receiving end of a horrifying act of terrorism. It doesn’t feel right to write this post today without acknowledging and sending my love and thoughts to all affected. I love our wonderful country and it pains me so much when things like this happen but what makes my heart really warm is the way it can also bring people together. Our emergency services are second to none and I am forever grateful for the danger these selfless humans put themselves in daily to protect us. Thank you. Please spread love and not hate, there is enough hate in this world without people needlessly adding to it. ❤
In much happier news, I’ve finally booked and paid for my travel and accommodation for YALC. For anyone who doesn’t know what YALC is, it can only be comparable to the UK’s version of BookCon which is happening this weekend in NY. I’m so excited to be spending the weekend staying with my favourite bookish people and meeting so many new people and authors. It’s going to make these next 7 weeks of work fly by (I hope!)
Have a wonderful week! ❤

I’ve been meaning to read the Holly Bourne books for SO long. I’m really glad you enjoyed them!!
Everything that’s been happening in the UK lately has been so sad. It breaks my heart to hear how many tragic things are happening everywhere.
I hope you have a wonderful time at YALC though ♥

When Dimple Met Rishi is in my TBR for June/July (I have a loose order for my books the next little bit). And I cannot wait to get my hands on Spellbook of the Lost and Found.
I am so sad by all of the news in the UK. Stay safe!
