Hi everyone! I’m back today to talk about the September releases I am most excited for. Despite September being back-to-work month, it is also the month where Autumn starts to make its appearance (hopefully) and there are plenty of excellent releases to be looking forward to!
Now I’m on a book-buying ban this month as I desperately need to catch up on all the books I already own but, being the clever human that I am, I have pre-ordered those September releases I knew I wouldn’t be able to wait for! Clever, right?
I’m not sure if I’ll get around to reading ALL of these during September but I know there are a few I definitely will be! Anyway, here are the books I’m most looking forward to seeing spread their wings in our big, wide world. Each cover will take you to the GR page so you can add them to your own TBR! Enjoy!
September Releases I am MOST excited about!
Tangleweed and Brine – I read the sampler for this book and it was GORGEOUS and also has really beautiful illustrations. I can’t wait to see how the finished book looks and my pre-ordered copy will also be signed!
The Language of Thorns – I ADORE everything Bardugo writes and the Grishaverse is one of my favourites so I really cannot wait to get my hands on this. I’ve pre-ordered an exclusive signed edition and my heart melts every time I think about going to pick it up. I’ll definitely be reading this during September, I won’t be able to resist!
Godsgrave – Nevernight was one of my favourite reads of 2016 and I feel like I’ve waited a life time for this book. I do have it on NetGalley (finally!) but we’re so close to publication that I may just wait now so I can see all the beautiful details, especially the footnotes, in all their glory!
Cold Blood – The Detective Erika Foster books have easily become one of my favourite adult series to read and I’m super excited for the fifth book in the series to be released this month. I’ve loved every book so far and can’t wait to see what Robert Bryndza does next!
A Skinful of Shadows – I have heard nothing but brilliant things about this book and I am completely and utterly in love with its cover. I can’t wait to get my hands on it! Luckily this is pre-ordered too!
One Dark Throne – I read Three Dark Crowns earlier this year and fell in love with it. I love the premise and the sisters are each interesting. Plus, after THAT ending, I desperately knew I would need this and pre-ordered it months ago!
The Loneliest Girl in the Universe – I am yet to read a book by Lauren James but I have only heart wonderful things about her writing and so I plan to make this my first book by her. Luckily I got my hands on an early copy during my time at YALC so I’ll be diving in soon!
Moxie – Slightly weird as this book is kind of already out? But it’s official release date is September so I’m including it anyway as I’m excited to finally read it. I have this on my Kindle already and have heard the most wonderful things being said about it!
More exciting September releases…
SO many fantastic titles are releasing this month. I have already read Things A Bright Girl Can Do by Sally Nicholls and it is FANTASTIC. I am very lucky that I have copies of quite a few of these books already and I’m excited to get around to reading them soon! What a month September is shaping up to be!

I love that loophole! I might start using that one when I’m on a book buying ban! 😛 A skinful of shadows looks incredible!

Haha, it’s definitely a good way to keep the book buying ban going strong!

I’m feeling super lucky to have already got Moxie, Loneliest Girl, Invictus and Things a Bright Girl Can Do from YALC, but I’m only read the first two so far! I’m also excited for Tarnished City, Language of Thorns and, of course, Jane, Unlimited!

Cold Blood! I LOVE the Erika Foster series and his newest is just as good as his previous books. 😉 And I love anything Bardugo as well! Definitely can’t wait to get a copy of that one.
