Hi everyone! It has been a while since I blogged but with the new year fast approaching, it seems like a good time to pick my blogging life back up and run with it full charge into 2018. There seems no better way to do that than to round off 2017 by talking about my favourite books of the year. Now most people do a top 10 – a nice round, even number – but I just couldn’t narrow it down! I’ve read over 100 books this year and so many of them have been absolutely glorious but I have managed to whittle it down to 17 books that I just ADORED.

Gosh, when I look back on my reading year I really did treat myself to some rather excellent books and the ones above are just the creme de la creme of the fantastic fiction I read this year. I have also been lucky enough to meet almost all of these authors this year too – such a fantastic experience to be able to talk about the books in person with their creator. I really hope 2018 will bring more of the same!

I’ve read several and they do deserved to be in your list!! Sadly I only read about 60/100 of my book challenge last 2017! So maybe I’ll make it only 80 books or below this year. Happy New Year. 🎊🎉

Ah but 60 books is still amazing! I think as long as we enjoy what we are reading the number really doesn’t matter!

I’ve read a few of these, I definitely need to read The Sin Eater’s Daughter trilogy though, everyone recommends it!
