What are you currently reading?
Kinda cheating on this one as I’m not yet currently reading this, but I will be picking it up to start in about an hour or so. I’ve heard nothing but excellent things about Children of Blood and Bone so I’m really excited to be jumping into this early!
What did you recently finish reading?
Only a few hours ago did I finish reading this but oh my gosh is it BRILLIANT!! The Exact Opposite of Okay is the debut YA novel from Laura Steven and let me tell you now that she is a genius. Izzy’s story is such an important one to get out there and her voice is so raw and refreshing, the exact kind of book I think the UKYA market has been crying out for! You can pick up your copies from March 8th and it comes HIGHLY recommended by me!
What do you think you’ll read next?
I’m hoping to read both of these next. Make More Noise is an anthology celebrating 100 years of suffrage and has short stories from a whole array of excellent UK authors. I also managed to pick up my preorder of State of Sorrow by Melinda Salisbury today so I’ll jump into that soon too. I loved her first trilogy and the sample for this was incredible so I’m dying to read it!

I really wanted to get an ARC of Children of Blood and Bone but I wasn’t able to, so I’m kinda jealous you’re reading it right now. 😀 I’ll just have to wait till my library has it available.

Make More Noise sounds like a very interesting and important book – although I think I’m done with short stories for now. Hope it’s a good read 🙂
