Hi everyone! It’s Sunday and time for a #SixforSunday post! This is a weekly meme hosted by my lovely friend Steph @ A Little But A Lot. Don’t forget to check out her blog for today’s post too!
Today’s prompt is characters you think would make brilliant friends. When I thought about this, I realised that I would basically be repeating all the fantastic characters I chose two weeks ago so I’ve done a little twist and decided to focus on six books that have great friendships in them. I’d love to be friends with the characters in these books, I think they would all make great friends!
Each of these books have something different to offer you on friendship but they all have brilliantly written friendships that feel honest and realistic. These books are ALL fantastic reads!
Which books have your favourite friendships in?
If you could pick ONE fictional character to be your best friend, who would you choose?
Follow me on Twitter, Instagram, Bloglovin’ or Goodreads. Comments are always warmly welcome.

BRB, adding all of these to my TBR right now because I love books with good friendships! Especially boy friendships. Those warm my heart.

I’ve not read any other Sara Barnard book apart from Beautiful Broken Things and I really enjoyed the friendship in that! I can’t wait to see her friendships in her other books! And I completely agree with the Spinster Club friendships too! I think I’d love Blue from the Raven Cycle to be my friend, but that’s a very hard choice to just choose one haha 🙂

I’ve never read the Raven Cycle, I wonder if I would like it? I think Sara Barnard writes some of the best friendships I’ve ever read in fiction, I definitely recommend her other two novels 🙂

I know some people find it overhyped but I really enjoyed it personally. I’ve got A Quiet Kind of Thunder on my shelf which I’m planning on reading for a readathon which is coming up so I’m really looking forward to that! I like how Beautiful Broken Things was mainly friendship themed which I don’t feel you see much in YA despite friendship being a pretty big thing for teenagers? But I’ll definitely have a look into the books above!

I love the Spinster Club girls too, and Frances and Aled’s friendship. I’m really not sure who I’d pick :/. I’d say Hazel Wong probably, I love her!
