Hi everyone! Next up to face my #FandomFrenzy challenge is Jessikah from Read By Jess. Jessikah is a blogger and YouTuber so make sure you check out her blog and her channel, there will be links at the bottom of this post!

I really love that Jessikah has picked a really unique fictional world to jump into! I’ve not read this book but she has certainly made me want to pick it up!

What fictional world would you most like to find yourself in?

Let It Snow

I feel like I’m supposed to pick a fantasy world but I really don’t want to! How about Let It Snow by  John Green Maureen Johnson and Lauren Myracle because then it would always be Christmas and snowy and romantic. See – the real world but better!

Which characters in that world would you choose to be your closest allies? Why?

Stuart was the CUTEST character and I would 100% stick by him. He looks after Jubilee so well.

Which characters do you think would be your enemies? (This doesn’t have to be the ‘canon’ villain!)

Addie was really irritating in the final story of this collection because she only cared about her ex-boyfriend and was a self-absorbed character. Put it this way, if there was an avalanche, she’d be the last person I saved…

How do you think you would cope walking in the shoes of that fandom’s protagonist?

Okay, now I know I chose the wrong kind of book because not only is this not a fantasy but there are also 3 stories and so at least 3 protagonists. HMM.  I’m going to go with Jubilee as the protagonist I want to focus on, as she was my favourite, and she goes through such chaos in her story. Her parents get arrested and she has to travel to her Grandma’s when her train is stopped by the snow. I think I would’ve been very anxious in her situation but she completely did the right thing by finding some kind people to trust and getting into the warmth. I probably would’ve moaned more about the cold though…

Which part of the story would you most like to try and change as the new protagonist? (Try and keep it spoiler free!)

I would try to have deeper conversations with Stuart earlier on as it seemed to take Jubilee and Stuart a long time to uncover anything.

BONUS: Which fictional world wouldn’t you like to find yourself waking up in? Why?

Okay this one is a lot easier! 100% Everless because that world freaks me out. I would constantly be terrified of having my time ‘bled’ and being killed. Mortality is not something I want to be thinking about.

I’ve definitely added Let It Snow to my TBR ready for the next festive period – not sure it would be a great summer read! Totally agree with Jess about Everless too, the concept of having my time literally bled out of me really isn’t something I’d want to be thinking about!

  2. I’ve seen this book around before, but didn’t really know anything about it. After reading this, I think I may have to track down a copy for my winter reading. I wouldn’t do well in a world where it was constantly snowing though 😂 (I have a huge fear of it)
