Hi everyone! Happy Friday – finally! I’m a little late getting to this challenge but when I saw it I knew I couldn’t resist! The prompts are super open and it feels like a very lowkey way to do a readathon. As much as I love a TBR, this kind of challenge means that I’ll just check off the boxes that my books apply to, rather than having to make too many specific choices.
I found out about this bookish bingo over on Pretty Deadly Reviews who make and host these bingo challenges. The Autumn (or Fall) edition runs from September 1st to November 30th. This is the first one I’m taking part in, but it may be something I do more of in the future. We all know I’m a sucker for a readathon…
Here’s the Bingo card for Autumn:
There’s such a great variety of prompts and they are so open too, which is definitely helpful as I’m enjoying a bit of a mood read at the moment. I can already think of a few of my upcoming reads that are going to fit on this card quite nicely. I’ve picked 8 of the prompts to give you an idea of what I may read for this readathon! (Don’t hold me to this)
- Features Animals: Into the Jungle by Katherine Rundell
- Purple Cover: Damage by Eve Ainsworth
- One Word Title: Starfish by Akemi Dawn Bowman
- Fall Release: Muse of Nightmares by Laini Taylor
- Set in Another Country: Dear Martin by Nic Stone
- Less Than 300 Pages: Unboxed by Non Pratt
- Pretty Spine: The Trouble with Perfect by Helena Duggan
- 2018 Debut: The Secret Deep by Lindsay Galvin
As it stands at the time of writing this post, I’ve already read 3 books that tick off spots on the card nicely, so I’ve put my update Bingo card below.
If I manage to cover 10 squares by the end of November I’ll be pleased! I’m taking into consideration here all the books I’ll want to read that won’t fit on this card too! I’ll be back with another update at the beginning of October!
Are you taking part in Bookish Bingo? Do you have any suggestions for the prompts?
