New Year’s Book Tag

Happy New Year – Blwyddyn Newydd Dda!

2021 is finally here and what better way to start a new year than with a tag looking at some bookish hopes for the year ahead. I saw this over on Kristen Kraves Books! I also added in a cheeky question of my own to look at 2021 releases!

How many books are you planning to read in 2021?

At this point who really knows? I used to set my goal to 100 and easily pass it. Last year I set it to 52 and didn’t read more than 20 books (although that’s because life was wild but also impossibly brilliant!). I think for 2021 I will go for 52 again, one book a week seems manageable!

Name 5 books you wanted to read in 2020 that you will prioritise in 2021.

There were so many books I hoped to read last year but didn’t so naming five is fairly easy!

Name 5 2021 releases you are highly anticipating.

What genre would you like to read more of?

I say this every year but I definitely want to read more middle grade novels over he next year. I already own a pretty good selection (by reputation) and have lots more recommendations which have been given to me. Maybe 2021 will be the year I finally manage to do this?!

What book has forever been on your shelf that you will read in 2021?

Set 3 non-bookish goals for 2021.

Blog at least once a week for the whole of 2021 – Get back into regular running + exercising – Travel to 3 new places (pending Covid-19 leaving us alone!)

And there we have it! Looks like I have some great books to read in 2021 already. I’d love to hear more about your bookish goals and wishes for 2021. If you’ve written a similar post please leave links in the comments for me to check out! Happy New Year!
