Hi everyone! Time for us to take a look at some of the books on my shelf. I’ll be doing a series of ‘What’s on my …?’ posts over the next few weeks.
It is worth me pointing out that I have chosen a small selection of books from my physical TBR to share today. The truth is that I own waaaay too many books to actually put in one post. But these are some that I have and think will be potential reads this year! I’ve linked titles to Goodreads so that you can check out the synopsis for each book.
Middle Grade
Although (admittedly) I don’t read much middle grade, one of my goals for this year is to read a bit more. I’m already on my second of the year and have thoroughly enjoyed them. Here are three I think I will be reading soon!

I absolutely adored the first novel by Anna James in the Pages & Co series and I have no legitimate reason as to why I haven’t read Tilly and the Lost Fairytales yet. Dragon Mountain is the first in a new series by Katie & Kevin Tsang. I’ve heard brilliant things about this and Katie is one of my favourite authors (all all time lovely people) so I definitely need to read my copy. The Valley of the Lost Secrets sounds absolutely lovely and I was lucky enough to be sent a proof by Bloomsbury (which I guiltily haven’t read yet!). This is the Watersones Children’s Book of the Month for January so I know I am in for a treat!
Young Adult
Young adult is where my real reading passion lies and there are some amazing titles I need to catch up on after not reading a lot in 2020 (thank you world). Here are a few from some of my favourite authors.

Alice Oseman is one of my all time favourite UKYA contemporary writers and I absolutely need to read Loveless as soon as possible. Also, look how gorgeous the colour on the cover is! V E Schwab is also one of my favourite authors and I will read anything she writes. I loved Addie LaRue last year but I still have both The Near Witch and The Dark Vault to read and hope to read them sometime this year. Dangerous Remedy, Scythe and Shadowscent are all books I have on my physical TBR thanks to my bookish friends Steph and Charlotte who are never short of a recommendation for me!
Have you read any of the books I’ve got on my physical TBR? Let me know which ones I should prioritise!
What books do you have on your TBR?

I’m so excited to read Valley of Lost Secrets, and I really hope you enjoy Lost Fairytales and Dragon Mountain! I’m desperate for Dragon Legend to come out and I’m so excited for the Pages sequel series. And Loveless is brilliant too, can’t wait to hear your thoughts 💜💜

You’re the second person to say this about Dangerous Remedy today! I’ll clearly have to put it up on my tbr!

I’m only about halfway through, but so far I’d say it’s more Upper MG/teen – certainly a great ‘bridge’ from one to the other. Feels a bit like Emma Carroll meets Frances Hardinge (I think so anyway!) Hope you enjoy it!

WAIT you haven’t read Scythe? It’s amazing 10/10 would recommend. I read it last year and was blown away. Dangerous Remedy is amazing too.
Good luck with your physical TBR 🙂

I know! Pretty sure Steph will end me if I don’t read it soon! Need to pick it up next time I can visit my mum as it is on my bookshelves there. Sure I’ll binge the trilogy!
