A book that you feel you need to read because everyone talks about it

The Scythe trilogy springs to mind here! Two of my fave bookish people adore this trilogy and I see lots of people talking about it. I own them all so really there is no excuse!!

A book that’s really long

I constantly put off reading this simply because the paperback is huge at around 700 pages. I do love everything V writes though so I know I’ll get around to it one day. Maybe this one is for holiday … although it’ll weigh everything down!

A book you’ve owned / had on your TBR for too long

I’ve owned this book for SUCH a long time and it’s been on my TBR since 2015. I’m not sure why I’ve never picked it up but I’d love to hear your thoughts on whether or not I should!

A book that is ‘required’ reading

I’m not sure why but I’ve never actually read the final two books in this trilogy despite really enjoying The Northern Lights. Lots of people consider these as classics so I figured they fit this prompt well!

A book that intimidates you

Okay so I’ve twisted this into a book that LITERALLY scares me and it’s definitely the cover of Such Pretty Things. I don’t like china dolls at the best of times and this cover makes my spine shiver!

A book that you think might be slow

This is an actual wild assumption here but there’s something about this cover that makes me feel this will be a slow book!

A book you need to be in the right mood for

I’m very aware that this book deals with some difficult topics so I guess this is more of a book you need to be in the right place for!

A book you’re unsure if you will like

I really want to love this book and all the descriptions of it make me think I will but I’m also not sure. The cover does put me off yet I’ve still bought it based on reputation so I guess we’ll find out!! (one day…)
