2023 Reading Goals

Happy New Year!! It’s 2023 and as per usual at the beginning of the year I’m feeling optimistic about wanting to read lots, writing some blog posts etc. Who knows how long it will last but whilst it’s taking my fancy I thought, why not?

I ended 2022 on a reading high having devoured Five Survive by Holly Jackson and Babel by R. F. Kuang, both of which I enjoyed immensely. I’m not going to be too strict on what I read this year but I’ve signed up to a couple of challenges via Storygraph (please feel free to add me as a friend on there) so we’ll see how they go. Here are some bookish goals I’m lightly setting myself for 2023!

2023 Reading Goals

I’ve set a low pressure goal and we’ll see what happens. I’ve got a few books I’m really looking forward to reading this year (another post about that soon) and I also want to keep chipping away at my backlist. I also plan to use my Instagram more frequently so feel free to follow me there too!

  1. Reading Goal: 40 books
  2. Pages Goal: 15,000 pages
  3. Read 3 series from my current TBR
  4. Read new NetGalley titles before they come out (and request less!)
  5. Take part in more readathons and challenges to keep me motivated

Most importantly I want to focus on having a happy and healthy 2023! We can now say that we get married next year! Plans are well on their way and we are so excited to keep planning our special day. I want to keep saying ‘Yes’ to things and also remember when to say ‘No’. Here’s to a year of reading, love and laughter.

Do you have any personal or reading goals this year? I’d love to hear from you in the comments!

Follow me on TwitterInstagram, Storygraph or Goodreads. Comments are always warmly welcome.
