7 Facts About Me:
- I love listening to Adele’s music. I think her voice is phenomenal and I adore her songs. They really resonate with me.
- I watch about 15 different TV shows, not including ones which are now complete.
- Meryl Streep is my biggest inspiration in life. I absolutely adore her and have an entire shelf of my bookcase dedicated to her movies.
- I love Hugh Laurie. I met him in Oxford a few years ago before his show and I cried. He was sweet though, which made me love him more.
- Chicken is by far my favourite food. I am easy to please with restaurants as long as there is chicken on the menu somewhere.
- I’ve never listened to an audiobook but I plan on changing that soon. I’ve decided my first one will be Amy Poehler’s ‘Yes Please’.
- I have a huge weakness for strong female characters. Whether it be in a book, television show or movie, if there’s a strong female character then she’ll be my favourite.

Yes! I met him before one of his shows in Oxford a couple of years ago and I cried straight afterwards because I was so overwhelmed. I love him to bits!

I can’t believe you’ve never listened to an audiobook before! I haven’t read Poehler’s book, but loved it when comedians narrate their own book – hopefully it gives you a great first experience.

You’re welcome! I know, I’ve always felt it could take from the experience of reading but I’ve heard great things about Poehler’s audiobook version so I’m going to listen to that as my first one!

I don’t blame you for crying when meeting Hugh Laurie! I’m not sure I’d want to meet anyone famous who I think is terrific because I’m sure I’d either be struck silent or just babble like total idiot 🙂 Great to hear that he was such a gent about it.
I’m convinced listening to Yes Please would have improved my experience of the book. I liked the book very much, but hearing Amy and her friends narrate it would have made it better.
