Thanks to the lovely Sam who hosts this meme at Taking On A World of Words. This is a weekly meme where I answer the three W’s of reading: What are you currently reading? What have you just finished reading? What will you read next?
What are you currently reading?
I’m currently reading an eARC that is a bit overdue (woops!). My Sisters Bones is really intriguing me so far. I’m nearly halfway through and still a bit confused about what is happening but I’m hoping this is the point of the book. The writing is strong though, so hoping the second half will clear things up for me!
What did you recently finish reading?
Two books so far this week! After an initially slow start, I fell head over heels for Margot & Me. It is such a wonderful story and I loved the way it flicked back between the present and Margot’s diary from during the second world war. It’s an interesting, touching and emotional read. I also FINALLY read Of Mice and Men. For such a short book this sure is powerful and that ending had me teary eyed. I think I’m probably one of the few people who didn’t read this in school!
What do you think you’ll read next?
I honestly do not know. I chose my current book by using a random name picker so that goes to show how good I am at making decisions! I have a few options though so it may be one of the above! (Or next week could reveal that it’s something completely different!!) I am not so patiently waiting for A Conjuring of Light to release next week!
What have you been reading this week?
Do you have any thoughts on the books I’ve mentioned?
Follow me on Twitter, Instagram, Bloglovin’ or Goodreads. Comments are always warmly welcome.

Love the book covers for all of these books that you’ve been reading! I loved Red Queen SO much, but I wasn’t really that into Glass Sword. I think I’ll still pick up King’s Cage though eventually.

I felt the same about Glass Sword but the ending made me realise I would have to read KC!

These are some excellent books here! I still haven’t read Victoria Aveyard’s series, but I’ve been hearing good things about the latest one. And Kite Runner is one I hope to get to this year – it’s been sitting on my TBR for too long 😛
ACOL is sooooo close now!!!
Happy Reading 🙂

I read The Kite Runner years ago. It’s an intense book that was hard to read because of the subject matter. I can remember telling my husband that it was so horrible but that I couldn’t stop reading it! I hope you enjoy it.

I’ve heard that it is difficult to read at times, it may be one I have to read alongside something more fun so I can switch off when it’s needed! I’ve heard that it is wonderful though so I’m looking forward to it!

I’m really glad to hear you liked Margot and Me! It sounds great. You’ve got some great books lined up. King’s Cage is one I’m hoping to read very soon too. I read The Kite Runner a couple of years ago and really liked it. It’s definitely a very emotional read. I’ve been meaning to read Hosseini’s other work since then.

It’s great! Slow for the first few chapters but once you get into it it’s hard to put down!

I love reading books at are drastically different. I feel like it helps appreciate the book more by minimizing the comparisons and expectations. I’m bummed to hear about the confusion around your current read. The title hooks me into wanting to know more lol. Hope you have a fantastic week ❤️

I’m inclined to think it may be one of those books where the reader is supposed to feel a bit confused, hopefully! I’m enjoying it but am wanting to know where it is going now! Thanks, have a fab week too!

I felt the same way about Margot & Me – it took me so long to get into it, but then I loved it. (I did read Of Mice and Men in school and HATED it. I came to appreciate it a bit more when I had to teach it, but I still don’t like it and I’m sure that’s entirely down to having to study it!)

Sometimes reading a book for school can really ruin it!

I love the cover for “My Sisters Bones” !! Although you’re not 100% set on it, I’m definitely looking forward to a review from you! It sounds like something I may be interested in.
I know you’ve already seen my post, but I’ll leave the link for you or anyone else who is interested anyways: https://mariazuppardi.wordpress.com/2017/02/15/www-wednesday-february-15-2017/

I think it’s really interesting I just have 0 idea where it is going at the moment. It definitely has my attention though and I’ve read nearly half of it in 24 hours so it must be good! I’ll definitely be posting a review when I’m done 😊

I don’t think I’ve ever read a graphic novel but have been very tempted by Wire and Nerves. Can’t wait to see what you think and also not very patiently waiting for COL.

I’m hoping to have WaN with me soon. I preordered it but it’s only been dispatched yesterday which is 2 weeks later than I expected! Hopefully it’ll be worth the wait though 🙂
