Hi everyone! Today I’m here to share with you an unboxing of the January Fairyloot box. I love this subscription box and have been subscribing for just over a year now. I love reading YA Fantasy so this subscription box always ticks all the boxes for me and this month did not let me down.
BEWARE: SPOILERS AHEAD!
The theme for January’s box was Talk Faerie to Me so I had a pretty good idea what the book would be and I was right! I have already read this book but I didn’t have my own copy so I was pleased with it anyway and the box had lots of other bookish treats too!
The first item I pulled from the box was this Prince Cardan candle from Meraki Candles. The makers of the candle actually asked the author of this month’s book what scent the character would have and used that to make the candle – what a great idea! This smells and looks gorgeous!
Next up was this really pretty pillow case designed by Evie Bookish. The pillow case features a quote from A Court of Wings and Ruin which is a series I have not read but I do like the quote so I may have to buy a pillow for this one.
Next I dug out this cute Vegan Seelie Lip Balm made by Geeky Clean. I really like their products and have received a few in various subscription boxes. This lip balm is apple flavoured and I’ve already started using it!
Some cute magnetic bookmarks that were designed exclusively for Fairyloot by Dreamy and Co. These are Feyre and Rhysand from the A Court of Thorns and Roses trilogy – as mentioned above, I’ve not read this series but they are cute bookmarks.
I LOVED this next treat from the box! I love colouring and it’s a valuable part of my mindfulness so to have a book of mythical beasts to colour is just amazing. The images are so detailed and beautiful!
Next up were these beautiful double sided prints. On one side there is artwork by Diana Worak of Rowand and Aelin from Throne of Glass (another series I haven’t read!) and on the reverse are these beautiful quotes designed by Stella’s Bookish Art.
After digging my way through all those goodies, we finally reach the book! I LOVE that each month the book comes in one of these handy book bags, they are such a life save at protecting the books I carry in my bags.
This month’s book is The Cruel Prince by Holly Black. I’ve already read and LOVED this book and you can find my review here. I’m thrilled to have a finished hard cover copy of this as well as the signed book plate and letter from Holly Black. This book is gorgeous!
And there we have it! I loved this month’s box and I’m really looking forward to February’s box now!
Which of these bookish items do you wish you could get your hands on?

Oh my goodness, this was such a brilliant fairyloot! I’d like to buy one but they’re a little out of my price range, I should give it a go one month!
