#SixforSunday | Authors I Love

It’s Sunday and time for a new #SixforSunday post! This weekly bookish meme is created by my favourite bookish person Steph @ ALittleButALot so make sure to check out her posts!

This week’s prompt is to share 6 authors I love! If you’ve been around here long enough you can probably predict these answers. To make sure I’m doing my best fingerling, I’ve included some of their books too. Please do check them out, I promise you won’t be disappointed!

6 Authors I Love

Katherine Webber/Tsang

As well as writing some of my favourite contemporary YA books, Katherine Webber also writes the most captivating children’s books with her husband Kevin and already has 3 series that are available for younger readers now. Her most recent endeavours have been the Twins Crowns books – now announced to be a trilogy! I cannot wait to read Cursed Crowns this year. Aside from being a super talented writer, Katherine is also one of the nicest people I’ve met in the bookish world!

Sara Barnard

Sara is the absolute Queen of contemporary YA books in the UK. I love absolutely everything she produces and will automatically add any novel of hers to my shelves. I think I’ve cried at every single one so far (maybe with the exception of Floored) and I already know I’m going to cry when Where The Lights Goes releases this year!

Melinda Salisbury

When it comes to fantasy or dark reads I can’t resist Melinda Salisbury’s books. She always keeps me coming back for more and I’m already looking forward to whatever she will release next!

V E Schwab

Schwab is an absolute auto-buy author for me. I’ve not read anything I haven’t thoroughly enjoyed and the Shades of Magic trilogy is still one of my favourites to this day. The absolute master of fantasy novels in my eyes!

Leigh Bardugo

Leigh Bardugo was one of the first authors I ever attended an event for down in London after enjoying the Grisha trilogy. Whilst there are some titles of hers that I haven’t read yet, I have loved all of the above and intend to read her others too.

Holly Jackson

Holly Jackson writes excellent YA contemporary murder-mystery/thriller books which are right up my street. I’ve loved everything she has published so far and she is definitely an author I will continue to read over the years!

Who are your favourite authors? Do we have any in common?

I’d love to hear from you in the comments!
